Any moment from now, the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) led by Pastor William Kumuyi, will formally commission its satellite television station, thus, joining the league of churches that already have their own satellite television stations in Nigeria.
Already, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), led by Enoch Adeboye, Christ Embassy, founded by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Synagogue Church owns by Temitope Joshua have their own satellite stations.
The DCLM, founder by Pastor Kumuyi, P.M.News gathered, is ready to float its own station this month, while preparation for its effective take off is going on.
Top leaders of the DCLM are working round the clock to ensure that the television station kicks off by 24 August.
For now, a top source in the church told P.M.News that the satellite television station will stand on its own and would not align with either HiTV or DSTV.
The television station will be a distinct Deeper Life station that would see anybody wanting to hook up subscribing to the church’s satellite cable.
P.M.News learnt that the primary purpose of the television station is to evangelise the world for Christ, as Kumuyi’s messages will feature prominently on the proposed satellite station.
In the 15 divisions of the church in Lagos State, preparation is ongoing as choristers of the church are busy recording songs that will be aired on the new station.
The station will broadcast 24 hours on daily basis and all year round, while programmes to be featured in the station include Christian talk shows, magazine programmes, preaching programmes, gospel musical shows, among others.
Kumuyi is said to have given approval for the take-off of the station and is optimistic that souls would be won to Christ through programmes that would be aired on the station.
In June this year, top leaders of the church within the country and in Africa converged at the International Bible Training Centre (IBTC), Ayobo, along with Deeper Life members, who are media practitioners from across the country, to brainstorm on how to run the station.
Programmes that would benefit the children, youths, women and others were drawn and presented to leaders of the church for consideration to be aired on the station.
Apart from pre-recorded programmes that would be aired on the television station, many of Kumuyi’s messages at crusades, retreats, youth fora and others would be beamed live to the world.
The station would begin to test-run this month and is expected to be one of the biggest Christian television stations in the world.
The church is taking advantage of global technology to launch out to the world with the gospel, through satellite television station.
Before now, Deeper Life had introduced Live Transmission to beam Kumuyi’s Bible Study, some Sunday Worship Services and others to church members only.
Through live transmission, members of the church worldwide could simultaneously watch Kumuyi’s teaching and preaching in their various local assemblies or through the internet.
The introduction of the satellite television station is to ensure that the shortcoming experienced during the live transmission of the church programmes, when members of the church could not easily hook up with the station and listen to Kumuyi’s messages live, are solved.

After reading the above, whats running through my mind is all the people I know who are Deeper Life Bible Church members. I’m going to be asking them about the above news and taking their observation.
If you know any genuine Deeper Life member/s, they don’t have TVs in their houses, talk less of watching it; turn their eyes away from anything TV-like, detest , preach and evangelize against it. In fact, some will outrightly tell you, “it is wrong to watch TV”, coz it pollutes your eyes, mind etc. This leaves me wondering if things like the radio, internet, mobile phones, computers, etc; don’t pollute one’s eyes and mind, thereby making one UNHOLY; and why did God give man the wisdom to invent and develop himself and the things around him.
And as much as I respect Pastor Kumuyi for telling the truth and the whole truth, at least among other Christian Preachers in Nigeria, the above news just throws me off………or, since mommy is no more around, Pastor Kumuyi has finally let his hold go on the TV thingy on his members.
Deeper Life members can finally watch TV? only that it should be ONLY Deeper Life TV? or !!!
hey, someone just reminded me thats, its gonna be a Television station!…..as in one TV station amongst many TV stations. So when you switch to other TV stations, you might sin.

This is very good to hear. It’s a very good improvement. I like it. But I want to correct one impression. Technically speaking, if the cable will hold only one station (DLCM station) it then means that it is only meant for the Deeper life church members because no unbeliever (whom they want to reach) would want to connect to a cable TV that would give him only one channel. Invariably, only the members would benefit from it. Unless they incorporate the station into DSTV or HiTV so the unbelievers can have it as an option and can switch to it at will.

Thank Papa Kumuyi for planning to float a tv station. What about those members that destroyed their tv sets those days/ What of members who sold theirs? Where will they watch the programme beamed from Deeper Life TV? Or will the church buy a new tv set for them?
What was the rationale behind the initial view of members not to watch tv, and what is the rationale behind the latest change of mind?
Please let us know so that we may get the clear picture of things.

It is very good that DCLM wants to own a satellite television station. I remember some time ago when I read in a newspaper (I can’t remember which one) that Pastor Kumuyi never asked his members not to watch television but rather not to watch inappropriate television programs. I believe some members of DCLM do not really understand the ministry’s stand on television programs and go about preaching “television is evil” as if they read it in Galatians. I remember a certain DCLM member who told me he does not allow his 13 year old daughter watch television but he allows her use the internet. I told him that you can watch programs on the internet and infact alot more pornography is available on the internet than regular television. My fear is that since the satellite television station is separate from other satellite/cable services, it may be watched by only DCLM members and may not really be able to evagelize the world for Christ as it is primarily meant to do.

I believe deeply in the ministry and programs. I am not a member but am a very keen observer and follower of the teachings of the ministry. The church stands 4 purity and will do away with anything defiling. If we must be truthful we have too many defilements in the tv programs. 4 a ministry with such deep focus we can appreciate their view point. I believe the church shd ve a satellite tv that is not connected to any satellite that may carry any form of defiling programs. This still does not change the ministry’s stance on tv programs. The box is not the issue but the programs which is too many. That is why the church doesnot encourage. I support them

As a member of deeper life bible church for almost 19yrs,i have always believed that our pastors fear on tv has always been on the issue of the various immoral programmes aired on tv and not necessarily on the tv box itself as some members erroneously believed.This was basically the reason for discouraging serious minded members from viewing and owning same.This position obviously have not changed.This new innovation of the church to me is purely that of evangelism,after all members have been previldged to watch him live on satellite tv before now.EVANGELISM IS THE FOCUS OF THIS DREAM PROJECT.FINITO!! We must reach every nook and cranny of the world.

Wow!!! Sometimes i wonder if deeper life church knows what they want. Yesterday,women wearing a hat to church was a sin. Today it is no longer a sin. Pastor Kumoyi allowed women to wear a hat last July in on of his preaching in NY, USA. A year ago a deeper lifer could not watch TV it is a sin. many people sold their TV or throwed it away. Today the same people will spend even more money to buy a TV. What a life are you people going through????. Does the bible say all that??? Hopefully, one day will come when women will be allowed to look like women, by wearing more decent clothes and jewelery. One day deeper lifer will be set free from all the sins human being are setting up for them. One day, the extremism will be gone so that people who love the word of GOD can attend deeper life church freely without thinking of being criticized for what they are wearing!!!! May GOd help all of us, so that when Jesus comes back, we can be ready for Him, Amen!!!!!

Goodness! Deeper life is changing. I heared few months ago that a DCLP pastor told his workers that have a TV in thei house that they will not be allowed to attend the worker’s meeting, unless the discard of their TV. What is TV doing to worker???? People come back on earth and try to be ready for Jesus’s returning instead of spending time criticizing, judging others!!!!!

As lovely and anointed any man of God may be, nothing can ever take the place of personal and dynamic relationship with the Holy Spirit and the clear and open reading of the Bible. I have always loved the commentary of Luke the Physician (The writer of the Acts of the Apostles) in Acts 17- Even after the preaching of the great apostle Paul, we read that the Christians in Berea were more noble than the Christians in Thessalonica because they went back to check the Scripture if those things Paul preached were so.
Let no one gloat, the best candle will melt. We all live in glass houses, no man should throw stones. Motive of the much beloved pastor WF, are undenialbly right but so are those of Samuel the aged prophet who would have missed out on David. Only God remains infallible.
For those who are only just saying anything the pastor says or agrees to is fine as he must have heard from God, much as I admire your loyalty, I have a word of caution (by the way, even from a surface perusal of the Bible, God seems to favour and was willing to dialogue with people who asks or question His words and actions, than those who blindly follow with no understanding-check out Job, Jonah, Jeremiah) . I don’t want to dispute one hearing from God but this kind of thinking is what led into the path that the church is now seriously seeking to walk out of. I need prayers, you need prayers but most importantly our men of God need prayers. May the spirit of prayers engulf our entire being until the church looks more like the picture painted in Ephesians. And without controversy, W.F Kumuyi is a man of God. Let us therefore be very careful with the comments we make about him. The sin is not the box, but the content of the box! Pastor W F Kumuyi is undoubtedly a man of God and I am a proud member of his church. Without repeating what others have said, I think the major problem is with some members who don’t study their bible and ask questions. Some are too timid to ask questions. I have heard the GS’ comment on TV when he granted a radio interview some years ago. He said the issue is not the box but what you watch. The interview was recorded and played for workers, yet these people continued to say no, no, no! Can’t people just understand?
I am aware that many have left the church, many have been persecuted, many have been labeled backsliders and many rejected as outcasts, but the word of God remains the same. Definitely, the GS meant well when he discouraged (not outlawed) the watching of TV, but now he is going all out to have a TV station to propagate the gospel. False preachers have been using the TV to deceive people and we cannot continue to pretend that all is well. We must use technology against the antics of the devil. The issue of control is there also. All we need to do is to exercise some control over what we watch and what we allow our wards to watch. Just as we control, what we look at when we go out everyday, we should do the same thing with what we watch. I HAVE ALWAYS DISAGREED WITH SOMEONE WHO HAVE ACCESS TO INTERNET AND STILL PREACH AGAINST TELEVISION. THIS IS HYPOCRISY OF THE HIGHEST ORDER. It is a means of keeping people under their control ignorant for selfish reasons and for easy manipulation.
Pastor Kumuyi should be given full support. People who are criticizing openly or secretly him are being hypocritical and insincere. Every member, leader, male female should let al know about this new innovation in the church and stop being judgmental.
For those who for whatever reason(s) have sold or thrown their TV sets away, they should see that as a sacrifice. What they have lost is not life but just TV. No man is infallible. My final advice, READ YOUR BIBLE, REMAIN RIGHTEOUS, BE HOLY, EVANGELISE. IF YOU ARE OFFENDED, LOST, COME BACK TO GOD. IT IS A NEW WAVE OF ONSLAUGHT AGAINST THE DEVIL. CHRISTIAN ARISE!!!

However, in keeping with his preaching on restitution, I would like the man of God to publicly appologize many of the people he led into believing that to own a television is a sin not to talk of watching the “Devil’s Box”. His greatness lies in him coming out publicly to do that. This is important and he should not feel ashame to do that, we know in life one advances from one degree of undcerstanding to another and let us call the latter Kumuyi’s spiritual maturity. What can God not do? He leads. He directts. He orders. He controls the affairs of men. Pls, what is happening in Deeper Life is a total will of GOD. Any comment outsidde God’s will, will all together become SIN. Everyone should allow GOD to lead the way HE wants to lead the man of God. I am a teacher. I know what TV has done to many children. I have siezed alot of phonographic CDs from students between the ages 13-15 and when you ask these children, they will tell you that their parents used to watch it; that is why they used to have access to it. The nature of our society today is because of the EFFECTS OF TV. The former US president once told his American people to take away Television from their children. why? It is because of the EFFECT.
Let’s not run away from the truth. Whether we accept it ot not, TELEVISION CORRUPT.
The Lord will help us so that the issue of Television will not shift our attention away from HEAVEN.

What we should focus on now is how to spread the gospel to all corners of the world thru this station. All christians should prepare for heavenas as well.Watch and pray. The humility of Pastor Kumuyi in acknowledging some wrong emphasis of the past is a classical lesson for all members, particularly leaders.
Let us pray that God will prolong his life. He has more to do to stabilise the church and send out undiluted word of God. My heart goes to other men of God such as Pastor Adeboye of Redeem, Bishop Oyedepo of Winners, etc,etc, etc. Let us as christians continue to pray for them. Why are we deceiving and troubling ourself about the issue of TV, The Church has not at any time said no body should watch TV, but as a christian you should avoid anything that will defile and corrupt your mind which TV is number.
This is not the first time that the Church will be broadcasting on TV, for every major programme of the Church either African Wide Crusade it is being beam on TV, so state are broadcasting Pastor’s messages on TV, but that does not say that every serious and heavenly minded member should go and buy TV, The current development does mean that every member that knows the reason why he has not been using TV before now should go and buy a TV.
Instead of member crictising Church Decison and pitying those that want to go and pick their nets back like Peter. The onus lies on them to Pray more for the success of the programme and that the programme will bring in more soul rather than concentrating on person gain.
Before the church starts Satellite programme those member that have TV at home still have it
Pray more for pastor that God will lead, directs and Guide him more to many areas to reach the whole world

Exposure to TV is like exposure to oyher things in this world. If you don,t watch TV, do you have access to the internet? Do you read newspapers? Do you go out of your house with your eyes open? Do you relate with people around us? It is true that the TV can corrupt. But just like every others I have mentioned above, what is required and should be emphasised is self control. Self control and not avoidance. If you can’t control your home or children, or you don’t know how to, you may keep of it. However, you must have a way of educating yourself and you must not use the internet, you must not read newspapers, you must not go out of your house and you must not sit beside a woman in the bus even if the only space available is next to a woman.
Somebody told me that members of Deeperlife shoul not buy TV, that the programmes on the new station is for unbelievers!I asked the person that when the unbelievers become saved, will they start submitting theit TV/ monitor to the nearest police station or church? Let me tell you, what God requires in none of that.In fact , not having TV and yet watching it outside in your friend’s places, watching football games on it, etc is hypocrisy and no hypocrite will make heaven. Therefore, not owning TV could really be a step to hell depending on your motive. In any case, it is not compulsory to have it, but don’t make it a doctrine and condemn those wh have TV. That is not a requirement from God. There are many unholy things that people do everyday and yet think they are going to heaven. The question is what is God’s requirement. If you think you can’t control yourself with TV, please don’t move near it. The point here is that you should not play God and think others may not be able to control what you cannot control. We shall continue to react against all traditions of men masquerading as the word of God. It is common sense. That you don’t have TV does not make you qualified for heaven. Full stop.
Christians should concentrate on making heaven, preparing for the coming of the Lord and evangelism and at the same time protect their God-given christian liberty. Don’t let any man fool you. They are the ones who will end up consoling you after messing up your destiny!. We support Pastor Kumuyi’s onslaught against traditions of men in the church.

Another argumeny being used to confuse christians is to tell them that by not using something like TV, they are sacrificing tha to the Lord Jesus Christ. What a funny logic. Do you offer a sacrifice that is not required? A sacrifice is only acceptable if it is required. Did Jesus say that abstinence from TV is a sacrifice he rquires? If you don’t watch TV, you are making a sacrifice to yourself because you think it will help you. God did not ask you for that. If God have asked for it. Pastor Kumuyi would not have come near it. Now , why can’t we also avoid the more dangerous Internet?
Please, people should stop using hollow logic to confuse people and justify themselves. The Pharisees did more than that, yet, those things did not qualify them for heaven.Sacrifice TV for Jesus? Excuse me please.

When some pastors preach against TV on their pulpit, their children listening to them have watched TV in their friend’s houses and the laugh at their father who thinks he is preaching a great message of consecration! i wish pastors are aware of how funny their children find their preachings. I am happy with this development. I can confirm to all that DLCM satelite station can be viewed via “MyTV” station. This am very sure about.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the judgement and comments of men in this forum does not change anything. The past is already behind us. I am aware as a former member of Deeper Life Bible Church, that most of the controversial church doctrines were not actually preached by Pastor Kumuyi. Some of the over-zealous State and Zonal pastors then mis-interpreted the pastors personal beliefs and philosophy to mean a church doctrine. For instance, in the early eighties, Deeper life members where not known to wear Suites simply because the GS was not wearing suites. It was the man’s busy schedule and dedication that made him pay less attention to such corporate dressing codes. Funny enough most members thought Deeper members don’t wear suits. Even members such as bankers whose official schedule demands that they dress corporately pulls off their suites before entering the church after office hours. When the pastor saw this hypocritical practice, he came out and condemned it outrightly and that was when Deeper lifers started wearing suites.
Another example was the wearing of turban by the sisters. There was no time Kumuyi preached that women must cover their head 24 hours a day. He was also quick to correct this when the issue was also becoming controversial.
Ladies and Gentlemen, though I am not a member of Deeper today, I am an firm believer in the preaching of Pastor W. F. Kumuyi. He has remained the most consistent preacher of God’s world in sub-saharan Africa.

I am dead suprised about some utterances here… i think the likes of kunle jinadu should request for deeper life pulpit to pour our his mind and possibly ‘bulala’ the members. Afterall, deeperlife does not force or tie anyboby to their church. BY-GONE is BY-GONE. Why cant we leave this non-essential issue and face the essential which is our personal relationship with God.

From the comments above, I think Dr Kumuyi himself must have come out openly to condemn ttaditions and wrong thinking of some people. I therefore consider the comments of people like Mr Kunle as enlightening. What he has said above should not be condemned but rather commended by the likes of Sola. i feel he is just concerned about the problem of change and not out to condemn but to correct and challenge our thinking. We should not become personal when we make comments on issues on the internet. Anyone who has been following the minitry activities of Pastor Kumuyi for sometime now will realise its ever expanding scope. He has been working very closely with CAN and PFN to reach as many people as possible. I know he’s now finding it difficult to cope with invitations from denominations outside Deeper Life within and outside Nigeria because he has said it himself. If God has led him this way in order to reach more people globally, then what he needs is our collective prayers and support. Criticisms will not matter now because all he’s interested in is how as many people as possible will hear the gospel that brings real transformation and eventully lead them to heaven.People have even said that his ministry has gone beyond Deeper Life Bible Church alone. I have personnally benefitted tremendously from his ministry. Let’s all join our hands and hearts together to pray for more success in his ministry and those of other genuine men of God. One more thing we must not forget is that God weighs men’s actions against their hidden motives. Why do you dress the way you dress? Why do you watch TV or use the internet? Why did you choose your particular career? I remember a friend of mine who planned to do abortions as soon as he completed medical school but unfortunately he failed out and never became an MD. Alot of doctors in Nigeria do abortions to enrich themselves but not all doctors do abortions. Secondly, not all abortions are evil…if the fetus is abormal and makes the mother to bleed excessively, a therapeutic abortion may be the solution in order to save the woman. I never did one abortion when i was practising in Nigeria because i decided on that even before i earned my medical degree. Nothing is hidden from the eyes of the ALMIGHTY. Guide your heart because out of it proceeds issues of life and death.

Thank God for his mercies. We must understand that the pastor preaches against sin and anything that would be an object of temptation that will lead to sin. again, we all will agree that a lot of the programs aired on tv today promote sin and indecency. (we see alot of naked women on tv, drunks, and all kind of unwholesome things) that is not to say there are no other programs that educates the mind. my thinking is that the pastor’s approval for the church to setup its own tv channel is not a contradiction of what he stands for. this channel is purely christ centered and evangelistic in nature. even if it is aired on Hitv or dstv it is not a contradiction to me. it is just a way of reaching the world with the gosple.

I have read with interest the contributions of various. The truth is Deeper Life is a peculiar ministry and the man of God is peculiar. That’s why you do not have too many of his type around. He moves as the Spirit leads and not by popular opinion. Remember the Rechabites in the bible? That’s how the deeper life and its members are. Don’t criticize what you do not understand. If you do not like the church then stay away. But I must tell you it’s the sweetest church to belong. Those do’s and don’ts are very sweet I must tell you. So long as it’s coming from the man of God it’s not ‘grievous’. Grace makes it sweet. If tomorrow the man of God says this is the way we are going, I will follow with out questioning. That way the blessings keep coming. You do not have to like it. The doctrine of Rechab was not for everybody. It was for the sons of Rechab and God blessed then for obeying it.
For those criticizing the man of God, keep criticizing he has moved on with his flock. He is very used to that and cannot be moved by such at this stage of his life and ministry. But beware; remember what happened to those who criticized Moses in the wilderness for being high handed on the people. They thought they were speaking for God and the people but they ended up incurring the wrath of God.
If I were you I will spend more time preparing for heaven which can come anytime either by death or rapture rather than criticizing someone because of his hard stance on holiness. After all he does not force you to join his church. You are free to join the church that says it does not matter how you live, where you go, what you wear, drink, watch etc. Enjoy your liberty (?). The last day will tell.

It is the high time for everyone who cares to realised that the christian life is a journey and that we call it christian life means that there must be growth in every dimension. What is necessary in christiandom is to start right. This is what some of the critics of this laudable project lack. They can go ahead and criticise it as they did when the man of God warned all the member of the church to avoid the watching of television. Some member who do not go further to find out the reason(s) for the warning took it as doctrine. But what I have discovered is that this is not one of the doctrine preached by the church. It is only a faithful saying for the “Timothys, Tituses and Ephaphroditus” in the church who cares to listen and considered it as worthy of acceptation. For such to have listened and obeyed with knowledge and openess to the Holy Spirit leading, they have remained undefiled.
Now that the Church have seen that the technology have overtaken us, what shall we do? Shall we sit back and use the same method of preventing curruption in 1980s to prosecute the same in 2010, now you can watch pnornographic pictures on the internet and even me, I have more than 12 tevevision stations on my telephone handset. A word of caution for those member who may be drumming up for their TV box, seek counsel as a father from an understanding leaders in the church on how to manage your children with this facility when you bring it home. Train up your child the way he should go (as you have been trained on the rudimentary of living a holy life and abstaining from all appearances of evil by the pastor), when they are old they will not depart from the right principle. Remember, Lillies grows in the dunghill.

However, I feel it will take a degree of humility on your part for you to address this issue publicly.I was a toddler when you started out as a bible study teacher in your home and grew up to know you had an outstanding ministry. Personslly, i had seen you in my dreams and it was a wonderful encounter. I know a lot of deeper life people who are sandwitched between the no television syndrome and this new proposal of having a TV satelite, a deeper life friend of mine even had to formulate his own stand on this issue. i am not a critic, but let us hear publicly from the man of God Himself. The silence is doing more damage to the church and the legacy he is handing over to the next generation. I know Jesus said that knowledge will increase in the last days but I also feel we are to take full advantage of it rather than run from it. Television by itself is not sinful. What is sinful is defiling nude pictures / ponography,violence, etc which are normally shown in it. Our Pastor is not against TV and has never been against TV. He preaches against the evil shown there. How can he be against a mere TV box.Using the television for the spread of the gospel is 100 per cent OK.Since Deeper Life is the Holiness church, be assured that no questionable / defiling pictures will be shown there. Watching nude, sexual, violence TV programmes is not safe for you as a Christian. That is if you are serious about getting to heaven. WHY not switch on to edifying TV programmes like Deeper Life’s? Well, I have not heard the message where Pastor Kumuyi asked people to destroy their TV. Though people have said many members destroyed theirs in the early days of the ministry as a result of his preaching. I believe the message must have been taken out of contaxt. Jesus said ‘if your right hand or right eye cause you to sin, then cut it off’ On the basis of this word of Jesus I do not think it is out of place for a preacher to ask any hearer to destroy anything including clothe, cars, TV or anything as long as that thing will make the individual(note individual and not everyone) to go to hell. Afterall none of our possessions is as important to us as our eyes or hands.
I told the marriage committee when asked during my post courtship interview that I could have TV in the future (even though I did not have then) and my marriage was not stopped based on this.
I think there is a lot of exaggeration and also many hearers are not applying the preaching of Pastor Kumuyi within context. And many also like to follow the multitude in ‘outward consecration’ even wnen they don’t have inner personal conviction. Christ is our perfect example and so far Kumuyi have showed that he is following Christ, so he is reputable enough among above many of his peers in this generation to be emulated by as many as are heavenly minded.

Have you ever think of been useful to your generation. God has created every man for a purpose to fulfill on earth. How far have gone with this commission of God. let us stop every derogatory word against the man of God, he is fulfilling his calling and every action he takes; he is directed by the Holy Spirit. Things around us are changing but the word of God cannot change. The world is changing, so also the system and approach to the gospel must change. “When I was a child , I thought as a child…” According to pastor the in one of his messages, that the world is catching up on us and that the tv is now available even on phones etc. So why don’t we utilize it in reaching the unreached world.However, in my own opinions no sincere child of God will say he doesn’t know the evils of watching tv…or setting your eyes on evil which is not only on tv but on the street, billboards, newspapers, mags etc. So watch the tv but you will be accountable for your soul on the last day. You can not say you do not know the truth.

My contribution to this topic is simple and clear. Read what the scripture says: ” Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. The human heart is a complex organ and it is only GOD’s WORD that can cleanse it from the corruption that engulfs it. Everyone knows the state of his or her heart with GOD. Whether it is clean or defile, holy or unholy—For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart,
and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. Therefore, let us keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life, and let us AVOID criticism and hold forth to the engrafted word of GOD which is able to save our souls.
May the LORD preserve and strenghten Pastor W.F Kumuyi for the great task ahead.

We have lived with technology and will continue to do so. New inventions are coming up every day and human curiosity will always be attracted to check them out. However, the TV as a medium of communication has come to stay. DLCM stands for purity in totality, whether you own, watch or not a TV. The teachings of the Church is to establish every believer on personal convictions which will build your Christian character in preparation and readiness for the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If a believer can not stand for his convictions, he obviously will fall for anything. Let’s pray that brethren will not throw away the convictions that kept their souls with the introduction of the TV station but rather seek the benefits that have come with it. Apostle Paul said, “If I build back the things I destroyed I make myself a transgressor” Galatians 2:18.
Before the TV station, many of us have collections of messages on cassettes, audio CDs, VCDs, DVDs and MP3.You could also download from the internet messages to watch and listen for your spiritual edification. The only change is that the TV station has given an easier and wider access, reaching out to the whole world at their convenience.
Remain blessed as you watch the DLCM CHANNEL. Your spiritual welfare is our concern!!

It has been a wonderful thing at this generation to have someboby like Pastor W. F. Kumuyi for courage to take decision as the Holy Spirit leads him without considering what the gainsayers will say. The DCLM TV channel come up at this point in time to save souls and to prepare people from different denominations, nations and the whole continent for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. How great and wonderful it will be to this generation of this last day if all men of God and all christians will take decision led by the Holy Ghost without minding what negative comments. It is the best choice to have you as mentor and father in the Lord in this age. Great things that God has just started with this TV channel shall be fulfilled to letter in Jesus Name.

I’m truly happy that DCLM has come on board. The world has been waiting to hear the truth & I’m glad they will hear it from now on. God bless pastor Kumuyi. God bless Deeper Life & every true member of the body of Christ as we celebrated this victory that God has given us! I don’t think we should dwell on the past, I’m a new member of Deeper Life and if the pastor ever said “don’t watch TV in d past” I know he said it out of love,because he knows that the eye is the light of the body matt6: 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” I don’t think any genuine believer will watch TV carelessly, wether or not ure in Deeper Life, the Bible is same and if we are all sincerely following the bible we will share common views and principles & some comments that have come up here will not have arisen at all. May God give us ready and obedient hearts to follow his word.

In reality, we as christians should be careful what we do or say. I thank God that till this day he leads his ministers by the Holy Spirit, and that some obey and follow his leading. So therefore, we MUST tremble and fear when we speak about them. Remember, David FEARED to TOUCH God’s “anointed”… Note: even when that anointed (King Saul) was going astray. because you cannot do so and go free. We all would be judged, all our words, actions, thoughts, intentions and motives. if you say you are a christian, you must watch what you say and measure it up if it glorifies God. On the issue of DCLM channel, its a wonderful vision God has given to Pastor Kumuyi and really, its take off and subsequent improvement has placed it presently among the best gospel satellite stations in Africa. But, let us understand the goal: to evangelise, to reach the lost, to send the light of Christ’s gospel into the far edges of our known world. (i wonder: all those that criticise, are they fulfilling the great commision in any way?). There is something I learnt from one of his wrtitings. he said don’t hold on to a vision once it is no more feasible, but move on. Only hold on to the goal, that cannot be changed. The TV has always and will always carry immoral, filthy, lusty and sensual programs, the internet will do worse, and more inventions and innovations will come out that makes iniquity very very accessible. Christ is coming, and we must be watchful. Let this mind be in you: to please God, regardless of what people may say, what you have said before, what anyone may think. But to Obey the Holy Spirit…the moment He says go.

A team of Pastors visited my school as part of their advocacy for sanity /decency in the media .They were deeply worried about bad programs on the TV and its untold corrupting effects on homes and families. Those men of God were not from Deeper life Church. Dont you think that the lust of the eyes has put many Christians into coma . Growing up in Ghana some forty years ago, immoral movies shown in cinema halls were mostly patronized by deviants. Today, the home which protected the child against pornography and programs which will take souls to hell,is hijacked by those hellish TV programs. I once read a book written by a well known Holy man of God (not Pastor Kumuyi) who also will not allow the evils on the TV and radio to affect his fruitful relationship with the HOLY SPIRIT. I don’t think Kumuyi’s holiness message has changed or will be changed by the launching of satellite tv.Let us close our ranks and welcome another christian alternative/tv to what the world is giving us. Anyway have you a place in heaven ?The time is very very near .Give your whole life to JESUS CHRIST.

There are a lot of things left to be amended by Kumuyi,s Led DCLBC.This is just the beginning. One,s relationship with God is not on the laws of dos and donts but directly in what Jesus Christ has done for us on the cross. It is therefore Renewal of our mind through transformation of our old spIrit to the Spirit of God that matters. I think Depper Life Church should concentrate on methods of mind renewal instead of attacking actions. When you have a new heart controlled by the Holy Spirit, He (The Holy Spirit) will let you know how to dress, what to watch and what not to watch etc instead of one telling you dont wear this and that without explaining the Biblical base for doing that.The Good News Of Jesus Christ is that put on His Spirit and he will lead you.
