The Experience Lagos, 2009

By the grace of God, I will be there again this year, and I am already believing this one will be a boomerang across Lagos.

My previous experiences:

DSCN1763

I gotta buy a new camera in the next one month, coz this time, I’m gonna be the official The Experience Photographer for the Naija Blogville.

ps: just in case there are other members of the Naija Blogvillers who would be going, perhaps we could hook up, and have fun praising the Lord.

THE EXPERIENCE: WHY IT MUST HOLD, RAIN OR NO RAIN!

In the experience 2006, being our first experience, the lord the lord dealt with us as babies. He allowed us to show our love for Him in a very comfortable situation, and the blessings came pouring forth. For when the praises go up, the Lord inhabits same, and showers his blessing on His people concerning that which they’ve believed Him for. Great testimonies were the results of such an experience.

The experience 2007 yielded even greater testimonies. We got God to move on our behalf, as we lifted Him up with our praises and worship. Yeah, we praised Him for who He is; perhaps a fair weather was quite an encouragement too. After that, came the Experience 2008. We had made up our minds to praise and lift Him up. Many came believing Him for greater breakthroughs considering the results of the former Experiences. But most of us forget that in our walk with the Lord, He expects us to grow in our faith. Growing in our faith implies that the faith that brought us where we are today is little compared to that which is taking us to our next level.

As Christians we are not to remain at a level for too long. Each time we need to move to our next level in God’s divine purpose, it usually requires a greater exercise of our faith. Even Jesus life exemplified this. In His endeavours to win our salvation, He had to submit to God’s way of gaining our salvation. He NATURALLY didn’t desire to gain it by going through that painful process, but as far as God was concerned, He needed to show to us that when we have business to settle with God, he dictates the process, so that we can prove His sovereignty, faithfulness, and worth, INSPITE, of whatever the process may be. There SURELY come times in our lives WHEN we are challenged to (Isaiah 43:2) endure a tough process just to prove the fact that we REALLY KNOW and BELIEVE that there is ONE GOD AND ONLY ONE GOD (the God of gods) who controls ALL situations, even the very situation we find ourselves, and as such should praise Him for an ASSURED VICTORY. (Isaiah 43:10), (Romans 8:37), (1 John 5:4)

What should we do then in preparation for the Experience 2009, let us not plan to praise God only if He permits a fair weather. If He decides, like the last time that we should dance and praise Him in the rain to prove we that we actually came to praise Him, then with ALL PLEASURE let us shame the devil. If we have truly come to praise Him, then not even the rain should stop us. LET US THEREFORE PREPARE, KNOWING THAT GOD (and not the devil) IS COMPLETELY IN CHARGE. The devil has no power to enforce rain in the lives where God reigns. He seeks permission for everything that he is allowed to do.

QUIT MAGNIFYING THE DEFEATED DEVIL. QUIT ASCRIBING POWERS HE DOESN’T HAVE TO HIM. WHEN JESUS DEFEATED HIM, HE MADE A PUBLIC SHOW OF IT. HE SAT US IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES, NOT JUST ABOVE ALL THE POWERS OF THE ENEMY, BUT FAR ABOVE. YET HE PERMITS THEM TO CHALLENGE US SO T HAT WE, THROUGH OUR FAITH CAN PROVE THAT THEY ARE TRULY DEFEATED. LET’S QUIT SPEAKING THE LIE THAT THE DEVIL IS CAUSING THIS OR CAUSING THAT AFTER HAVING REBUKED HIM. WHEN WE RESIST HIM RIGHTLY, HE FLEES. THE NEXT THING THEN IS TO START GIVING GOD A RESOUNDING PRAISE, BECAUSE WHATEVER ELSE YOU STILL SEE IS HIS DOING FOR HIS GLORY, AND FOR THE SHAME OF THE DEVIL. WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT. DISREGARD ANY DEVIL BECAUSE THEY ARE LESS THAN NOTHING. (Ephesians 1:19-23), (2 Corinthians 5:7)

If rain came, and would not stop even after we had told it to stop, then it means a more superior authority wants the rain to remain, and there’s only ONE superior authority, and that’s God. Mere demonic humans or the devil himself CAN NOT cause rain to be, where the sons of the LIVING GOD has said it should not be. If God want us to praise Him through the rain to get a greater blessing, then let the devil be the only person to leave that arena disappointed.

We are not born again to remain at the same level of faith. When we were babes, God fed us with milk. Now that we are older, He expects us to go out there, fetch the food, prepare it the way we want it ourselves, even in the face of obstacles. The Experience 2006 and 2007 came to us as babes, and if God (never the devil, but God) now want us to move to our (greater) next level by force, but not in the comfort of a fair weather, then those who really know their God should be strong, and praise Him in spite of the rain. The strong shall stand in the gap for the weak.

Experience 2008 was for those who knew beforehand that they should be ready to praise God, even when God pushes them outside the comfort zone. That’s why we are Christians, to praise God by faith. By faith means when things are NOT physically working well (as we desire). That is the essence of our living-to walk by faith constantly. In other words, our minds should be made up that whatever circumstance we find ourselves, we just must affirm and assert our victory, which simply lies in our faith. We must not see things working in our favour before we believe it is done, knowing that even when we don’t see things going as we have prayed, the devil is not the cause; he has no power to be. (Job 37:6-13)

Since we may sometimes have to take the kingdom by force, and force means exercising our faith, then a baby Christian faith that is used to the comfort zone is not likely to work. Our faith should be such that no rain or negative circumstance can make us stop our praise/joy that is required to take us to the next level. Experience 2009 is for those who are ready to damn the consequences ( whatever it turns out to be) just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and still take their victory and blessing through faith (1 John 5:4). Be prepared to praise God in spite of any rain or anything that shows up on that night. We are gathering to praise God and nothing should stop us!

Now is therefore the time to “cook” yourself ready; the time to build and prepare your FAITH for the battle ahead. IF IT DOESN’T RAIN, FINE, BUT IF IT RAINS, BETTER! Because only ONE person will end up going home ashamed, and that is the devil (Psalms 6:10).Let those who are weak (perhaps due to age or other natural conditions) be prepared to take cover if God allows the rain to come pouring down. But let those who are strong enough to endure the uncomfortable zone be prepared to step out and DANCE IN THE RAIN. David regardless of the fact that he was king, danced selflessly till he was almost naked. So do not let the wealth God has bestowed on you be a hindrance to your praising Him. There shall be no cold because some very HOT praises are going to be steaming up to the Heavens. Get Ready! It going be so much fun to see satan lose. I’m talking from a personal experience.

    The following bible verses are worth remembering: Isaiah 54:14-17, Isaiah 43:1, Isaiah 44:24-26, Psalms 135:5-7, Psalms 62:11, Isaiah 51:12-16, Jeremiah 1:19, Isaiah 41:10-13, Isaiah 45:13-18, Isaiah 45:23-24, Isaiah 42:8, Psalms 56:3-4, Psalms 27:13-14, Isaiah 50:7, Isaiah 49:23, Isaiah 64:4, Psalms 135:7, Psalms 6:10, Job 37:6-13, Job 35:10, James 1:2-4, Romans 5:2-5, Hebrews 12:10-13, (Ephesians 1:19-23), (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Some of us are good at seeing opportunities in challenges, needs, and problems. So, for those who are business minded, try to think and brainstorm on the solution towards creating a suitable roof-like shelter over Tafawa Balewa Square, so that whenever it rains, we won’t need to pray about that. We’ll simply spread over the roofing cover. Therefore brethren, think, think, and think. Think inventions, think solutions, think innovations: good ideas, make good business opportunities. I have a dream, that a day cometh, when Christians will be able to praise God at very large arenas capable of accommodating millions, in and out of SEASONS-even in the tropics where rain can come on any day of the year.

SEE YOU AT THE EXPERIENCE 2009!
