Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians are ever going to change and become good people. Nigerians are bad people, no doubt, and unfortunately, they are not ready to change.

Heres a summary of the video:

Bidemi Bakare is the scammer involved this time, the official ringleader. He swindled a white australian woman of all her savings, meanwhile, Bidemi was posing as a white guy living in Malaysia.

When the lady finally knew she was swindled, the local Malaysian police got involved. A lady investigator familiar with the trails Nigerian scammers leave decided to take Bidemi at his own game. She poses as a single lady on the same dating site where Bidemi operates; and she and Bidemi get talking. When the money talk starts, Bidemi is lured into the trap via another middle man(a police officer) who is to deliver the money – US$23,000 (23 thousand dollars) which Bidemi asked for.

The plan was for Bidemi to come collect the money at a hotel room. Instead, he sends a local teenager(a courier) to collect the money. The courier leads them to Bidemi and his other 5-accomplices who were in the vicinity of the hotel waiting for the courier. They were all arrested.

On the paper trail: the investigators find the phone number of Roselyn(the australian woman he duped) on his mobile phone(just to confirm he is the one who has been posing as a white Mr. Benjamin).  More interesting, they found the phone numbers of 81(eighty one) australian women on his mobile phone: former and potential targets.

Back on the paper trail, it was discovered the Bidemi Bakare’s earnings have been consistently sent back to Nigeria, into the hands of crime gangs and terrorist groups in Nigeria.

The woman is in tears after all her money is gone, besides, she says all she ever wanted was to help him (her assumed white lover boy, Benjamin) to get out of Malaysia and join her in Australia to live a new life.

Danger arises when love is blind” – (a strong word for lovers there) the commentator says, but unfortunately, within a couple of days after Bidemi and his accomplices were nabbed, while Roselyn was supposed to be recuperating, she was back on the same dating site and being wooed by another man calling himself Richard William. The investigators told her that Richard William is another scammer, and unfortunately again, Roselyn is a little doubtful.

Now this is a take home: the investigator tells Roselyn to turn the computer off and adds: if you cant see the whites of their eyes and if they arent buying you a drink, don’t talk to them”.

Roselyn replies: “no one buys me a drink, that’s the whole problem”.

There is a support group in Brisbane for Australians who have been stunged by Nigerians.

Remarks:

  • the video is quite touching. I feel so much for the lady who can’t distinguish her right for her left – especially in matters of the heart, considering her age. In Nigeria, a lady of her age should not be falling to cheap scams. Perhaps, its because of the environment she grew up in – where everything she was told from childhood about was always true, an environment where the average person on the street is not a liar by default; as compared to the African / Nigerian environment, where white isn’t always white except it is verified and re-verified over and over again. Besides, you might need to investigate the person who declares to you that white is always white.
  • these are definitely take home statements: “Danger arises when love is blind
  • the useless Nigerian Bidemi Bakare shows no remorse at all at what he is accused of. The investigators should have invited a Nigerian Millitary officer to help give Bidemi an introductory beating of his life – for even disgracing himself, his family, and bringing on us all a National embarrassment. His whole body should be in bandages, that’s when he will learn not to scam again. His parents sent him to Malaysia to study, he is busy scamming people.
  • And rather than deporting people like Mr. Bidemi who shows no remorse, he should be jailed for life. useless stupid idiotic ingrate.
  • Unfortunately, his father wasn’t around when he was born. Maybe that’s part of the nemesis catching up with him.

With the hair on the head of this one, only God knows what course he is studying.

Bidemi’s victim: Roselyn

Roselyn was being wooed by another scammer(identity below) just a couple of days after the Bidemi Bakare saga. That’s why I wonder why some women so desperately want to get married / find someone to call a lover. Doesn’t the desperation lead to vulnerability?

And just in case you are in Roselyn’s shows, don’t forget: if you cant see the whites of their eyes and if they arent buying you a drink, don’t talk to them”.

Observation: for the past couple of years, every new year, there is some Nigerian at some part of the world disgracing the country. It has been either drugs, terrorism, 419, etc.
