In an audio file posted on a Christian satellite TV channel, prince Abdullah al-Sabah declared his faith in Jesus Christ. Muslims have attacked him saying “he isn’t a member of the royal family”
According to reports, a Kuwaiti royal prince has become a follower of Jesus Christ. In an audio file posted with his name, he affirms that if he is killed because of a recording he made where he talks about his conversion, he firmly believes that he will meet Jesus Christ face-to-face. The news comes from Middle Eastern sources which state that al-Haqiqa – a Christian satellite TV channel in Arabic that transmits Christian religious programmes – broadcast an audio file attributed to the Kuwaiti prince, identified as Abdullah al-Sabah. The al-Sabahs are the royal family of Kuwait, a country rich in oil. The name Abdullah (servant of God) frequently appears in the Emir’s family tree.
In his audio file, Abdullah declared: “First of all, I fully agree with the distribution of this audio file and I now declare that if they kill me because of it, then I will appear before Jesus Christ and be with him for all eternity.” In this statement, the prince demonstrates his awareness of the fate in store for a martyr of the faith, according to Christian doctrine. The television channel stated that Abdullah is a member of the royal family, and that he recently renounced his faith in Islam and became a Christian, without specifying which particular branch of Christianity he had chosen. After stating his full name, the prince declared: “I will accept whatever they do to me, because the truth in the Bible has guided me towards the right path.”
In the audio file, Abdullah talks about the Islamic groups that are winning the elections in Egypt and declares: “Islamic communities have always wanted to attack in different parts of the world but God has preserved the world and still protects it. This is why we have recently seen disagreements appearing among Islamic groups who are now fighting with each other. They are about to divide further into different groups.”
Mohabat News, a Christian Iranian website which has been following the fate of Christian minorities in the Middle East closely and which has monitored Abdullah’s statement, confirms that this news was published briefly by Arabic news agencies and also by the Iranian state news agency. Some independent websites with Shiite leanings denied the reports and quoted another Kuwaiti prince, Azbi al-Sabah, who said: “There’s no one by that name in the Kuwaiti royal family.” In actual fact, the name Abdullah does not appear on the list of the 15 members of the royal family who rule this small, extremely wealthy country in different capacities: from the Sheikh down to Princess Nijirah al-Sabah, who testified in the US Congress under the assumed name of "Nurse Nayirah" on the humanitarian situation in the country after the invasion by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq and just before the Gulf War. That isn’t to say that this high-profile convert is not hidden somewhere within the extended family, under a different name.
In Kuwait the overwhelming majority of the population is Muslim (only 4% is Christian) and the country’s Constitution states: “Islam is the official religion of the country and Sharia is the main source for legislation.”
As is well known, the problem of conversions from Islam to other religions is a recurring problem in relationships between followers of the Prophet and other faiths and it is a very serious problem in all countries where the majority of the population is Muslim, even those that at first sight would seem socially progressive. The problem has always been there, but in the last few years the majority religion has become more sensitive in towards the increased evangelical activity being carried out, not so much by “traditional” Christian religions who have always been used to the insurmountable limits of living alongside Muslims, but rather by Protestant faiths.
These seem to be enjoying enormous success – not just in Kuwait; it’s likely that the mysterious prince could be one of their followers – but also in countries that are definitely more mistrustful, such as the theocratic Iran of the ayatollahs.
After Heidar Moslehi, the Iranian intelligence minister, asked Muslim seminaries to become proactive in stopping the spread of Christianity, a high-ranking cleric declared that Evangelical Christianity is the most horrifying intelligence and security organisation in the world. This statement seems to have appeared on press agencies close to the Revolutionary Guard.
In a conference on “New Age cults” held in Varamin, a district south of Teheran, Akhond Mohsen Alizadeh declared: “We should not allow these cults to question Islamic jurisprudence under the cover of mysticism.” He went on to add: “They tell the youth that God is wrathful and horrible in Islam but is love in Christianity. Also, Christian preachers answer the questions and doubts of youth in their own interest and try to attract them.” Nevertheless a whole series of signs seem to indicate that non-traditional Christianity – there are Catholics and Orthodox Christians in Iran as well as a large Armenian community – is spreading. The regime’s press recently spoke of them with concern and the number of cases of repression and condemnation following conversions is growing.

you must be kidding me. know that no muslim (believer) will ever convert to any other religion (which is polytheism). although there are some non practicing muslims who are careless of their responsibilities and duties… muslims commit sin and disobey, but they die as muslims (believing in One God without associating partners in Him). this is obviously a scam.
and oh, i only heard very few stories about “muslim converting to christianity” but these few people were originally non-muslim in the first place who converted to islam insincerely (i.e. due to worldly reasons/gains, or just for show off, or the most common is due to marriage with a rich and/or non-practicing muslim who died and/or left him/her.)

Praise God / Al-Hamdulillâh! However, one thing makes me sad: The Honored Qur´ân speaks about Al-Masih Îsa Ibn Maryam as the One without sin (Al-Zakiy, see 19:19) in the most beautiful words. He is called Isa and Isa means Saviour. He is called Al-Masih and Al-Masih means the One who cleans, purifies and heals. On the other hand, the Gospel asks us to surrender to God, i.e. to be true Muslims because God is Compassionate (Al-Rahmân, see Romans 13:1). Therefore the question is: does this gentleman has/d to leave Islam and risk his life because of his acceptance of Jesus as a Savior? Both religions agree on one point (at last in their holy books): No one will be saved because he calls himself a Christian or a Muslim, but because of Jesus / Al-Masih Îsa Ibn Maryam. I find it interesting that Christianity was condemned by this Akhond Mohsen Alizadeh character because… they answered questions? Pardon? Isn’t that how people learn about anything? By asking questions and searching for answers and clarification on subjects they care about? Idk. I can understand the anxiety of the christians on this matter, but when i see things like this, i always remember Pauls conversion and the story he told which led to his conversion. This same story was told in the bible three times and the the three were different… that is the truth as far as christiandom is concerned.; The same is happening today and people are so desperate to convert others. They tell all sorts of stories just because they want to score some points; they creates NGOs in muslim-dominated areas because they want them to be chistians. This is deperation and only God knows when it will end…but i know it will be difficult to end it because that is exactly how it started. If you look at it, you will realise that these people that are “converting” are the underpriviledged in African and other places, the real caucasians are choosing Islam, Buddism, Hinduism and others because converting into christianity is like going back to the dark ages. If you look and think about it, you will know it is true because what exactly does one gain from christianity? The only gain i know is falsehood, rumour, lies…

Jesus had 12 apostles and later 72 disciples out of the multitude. There were 12 tribes in Israel and each, and later 6 apostles represented each tribe. All were Jews… and he said, “Do not go to the gentile nor the…, but to the 12 tribes of Israel” I do not know how this affects the Prince and even you! I know that there are thousands of things that Jesus said that are being justified today and i also know that Jesus was not a CHRISTIAN. I also know that non of the Prophets we read about in the old testament are christians, so where is christianity from? Christianity is from Paul and that is reflected in the number of books he wrote in the bible; some of these books are just letters he wrote which have suddenly become “holy” and have to be included in christians’ idea of a scripture. The christian’ scripture is by inspiration, never by revelation and that is the problem because people can be inspired by a lot of things, including the devil himself. There are so many things to say, but time is too short and i therefore leave it to the individual to choose between christianity and common sense.

I am very much disappointed of the statements about mentioning ” Muslim as bad people- killers, terrorist, etc.. ” they make muslim famous by spreading this rumors while d fact is if u only realized and try to compare u will be shy to say that! I believe in Allah,and prophet Mohammad (SAW) , but as human its not bcoz of our religion that we tend to comit mistakes, that we did wrong.. we can never put the blame on our religion, this has nothing to do with what you did.. Islam never teach wrongs, never teach to kill, say bad words. Muslim means a believer of Allah, doing and following the Pillars of Islam.. and none of the Pillars stated of doing and commiting sin. Therefore, if it is true that the Prince has embrace Christianity, this doesnt mean that Islam is bad religion bcoz people he knows did bad . He have no right to say bad against our Faith. Do u think non- muslims doesnt do bad things? Funny hah! I am muslim, but i am human. capable and able to do and commit sin, temptation is always around you. You just have to think twice and remember all the good teaching of Islam and feel ALLAH in your heart ou will find wisdom . We are in chaos world, if we cant avoid doing wrong, but atleast try to respect others faith.

I believe each and everyone accept that there is only one God and only one true religion..in ISLAM and i dont know in other relegion,but we’ve thought about the characterestics of ONENESS OF GOD which said that the God has no father, no mother and no son.HE has no beginning and no end…and this is contrary in christian belief…they believe that jesus christ is the GOD,,,but jesus has mother and he begun when vergin Mary delivered him. Its very conflicated believing that jesus christ is God and after all believing that he is savior and son of GOD??

The mystery of the Gospel is remain hidden to these who donot believe that jesus is the messiah and the Son of God. But these who belive in christ as his savior and lord will never perish but have an eternal life. To this day many are against to his teaching and many preach a gospel but it is no gospel at all. As Paul says even the angel in heaven will preach to you a gospel which is diffirent to what you have received let him be eternally condemed. My brothers and sister let us be prayfull and pray those who persecute you because of jesus for we are blessed when ever they persecute us. Also pray to these of our new brother in Christ to spare them from the arrow of evils for it is sure that heaven rejoice because of the new soul that is save and become a member of the family of God. Prince al sabah believes in Christ Jesus as his savior and lord he did not say christian as his savior or his Lord because even in the bible there is no religion mention only that the first believer in antioch called them christian but it is not mention as religion. The true religion of the living God is these who look after a widow and orphans during their distress regardles of his color, nationality and or his/her affilation to this modern world.
