Question: Trae you don’t believe in prayer nor religion but how come they thrive?
My theory: when ”religious people” want something they pray; not because it actually works but because it’s carries a sense of seriousness of purpose. But more importantly they hustle towards it. The rich using their money to make more money, the hardworking their brains and strength, the cousins favoured by nepotism, the whores using sex appeal and the 419 squad their cunny man sense. And when they achieve it they say ”na God”, cos it’s cool to say ”na God”. Those that don’t make it are the lazy, the ill-prepared and those whom the economic means and market forces fight against. These set ill informed to understand their predicament then take it extreme with tithes, night vigils, jazz, casting and binding, speaking in tongues and any other unintelligent feature of Religion in Nigeria. In the course of this they might be priveleged to eventually acheive using any of the above methods, if not it’s back to more of the senseless same. And thus the cycle of Religion goes on. It’s show business baby!
