Not many Nigerians have grasped the inner understanding of the elements that make out between religious crises and “political terrorism”. Worrisomely, some of the people who are mentored by large assemblies of people because of the impression that they are endowed with the capacity to reason have also found opportunities in a matter that cannot promote their propaganda against ISLAM and the Muslims. Is it the Muslims who are fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan that are causing mayhem in Kogi State presently?
The religion of Islam and the moral teachings of the Qur’an are not supporters of the “Boko Haram” and their sponsors, but the remedy by which the world can be saved from the scourge of terrorism.
“…If someone kills another person – unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth – it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind. Our Messengers came to them with Clear Signs but even after that many of them committed outrages in the earth.” (Surat al-Ma’ida: 32)
Islam has not only forbidden terror and violence, but also even the slightest imposition of any idea on another human being.
“There is no compulsion in religion. Right guidance has become clearly distinct from error. Anyone who rejects false gods and believes in God has grasped the Firmest Handhold, which will never give way. God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” (Surat al-Baqara: 256)
When you go for a job interview, they ask you questions about Boko Haram in other to use your manner of response as parameter to know if you are a dedicated Muslim who will always stay away from their prayer meetings. Imagine the Managing Director of a Company who is very much aware that you are a Muslim and addressed you this way in a staff meeting which had not less than fifteen non Muslims and one and “a half” Muslim: “Muhammad, I learnt you don’t normally attend prayer meeting. Is it that we are worshipping Idols here?
That is the height of intimidation! Could the Managing Director accompany Mohammed to mosque on Friday and say they don’t worship Idols there? The facts that a deeper life member will not, for any reason, join a pentecostal church for a Sunday service and also, that a Seventh Day Adventist member will not celebrate on a Christmas day, give us clear explanations of the commitment of the Christians to their religious belief. But why can’t these people allow Muslims to practice their religion without any Interference, compulsion or acts of “voyeurism”?
In many public schools, Muslim teachers are compelled to read songs of praise on the assembly ground; a practice that is against the religion of Al Islam.
Some months ago, I joined a commercial bus in Lagos wherein issues of Boko Haram were being discussed. An hijjabite sister who was also in that bus was addressed as a masquerade for the common offence Muslims commit everywhere in the world: Being a Muslim!
Stop harassing the Muslims; stop embarrassing the Muslims; stop calling the Muslims Boko Harams; It is high time Nigerians compel President Jonathan to identify the Boko Haram sponsors he said are in his government or he quit the office.
There are many people out there who add power to our voices against BOKO HARAMS; even so they are “BOKO HARAMS”.
By the activities of Boko Haram, Jonathan led federal government have turned Nigeria to a cancerous body; since we cannot put plaster on the cancer; we are left with the only option to eliminate the cancer: JONATHAN SHOULD QUIT! “. He cannot deal with the menace of Boko Haram.
